Love has reopened after a post New Year’s Eve stabbing and subsequent hiatus.

H Street neighborhood officially declared DCs “best up and coming neighborhood”.

H Street Great Street reports the many reader accolades the H Street corridor received in City Paper’s most recent poll, including Best Up and Coming Neighborhood, and award H Street received by edging out Petworth.

Meandering Ones was on the scene for a meetup one recent weekday and concur that H Street is really picking up a great vibe.

Two of the hardest working DJs in DC, Will Eastman and Jesse Tittsworth, are about to drop a bomb on U Street in the form of their new 300-capacity nightclub, U Street Music Hall. Destined to become one of DC’s best dance destinations, U Street Music Hall is located at 1115 U Street NW in the very cool basement space vacated by Cue Bar.

‘Downstairs from the lounge, there's a stripped-down space featuring live music daily: mostly solo guitarists, pianists or duos during the week and jazz trios Thursday through Saturday. The mismatched furniture — couches, armchairs, leather cubes — and the lack of cover charge make the environment less formal than the upstairs. We settled in with our drinks and listened to pianist Bill Forrest playing everything from Gershwin to the Beatles. The upstairs staff wandered down every to see if those of us listening to the music needed anything.’
